Pencil Belly Ranch is a horse boarding ranch located in the heart of Novato, with a long-standing reputation for its casual atmosphere, excellent care, and direct access to Open Space trails.

Our family bought Pencil Belly Ranch in 2013 although it was established decades before that. Currently the ranch comprises 4 acres on Indian Valley Road and backs up to Marin's Indian Valley and Ignacio Valley Open Space Preserves.  We have two access points to Open Space both of which put you right on the trails without the need to walk down a busy road or worry about parking.

We have 23 stalls, an arena, round pen, wash rack, multiple hitching posts, tack sheds, trail trial obstacles and a relaxed environment which is perfect for bonding with your horse.
